Leak reveals Black Ops Cold War zombie maps and weapons

A well known leaker in the Call of Duty community has revealed more information about the upcoming zombie mode, including which maps and weapons are in the mode.

Fans have had a chance to get hands on with multiplayer for Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War, but they are still left in the dark about what they can expect from the next generation of zombies. The zombie experience is a major part of Black Ops games and many fans are looking forward to Treyarchs next iteration.

With details still being mostly unknown, fans have turned to leakers such as YouTuber TheGamingRevolution who recently posted a brand new video filled with details about the zombies mode. The video doesn’t contain any leaked footage of the game, but the information in it still gives us a great insight into the future zombie experience.

When it comes to the maps in the game, most fans already know about the link between Nacht Der Untoten and the teaser trailer, but TheGamingRevolution claims the map will now be called something entirely different, Die Maschine, and will even contain new locations, including a massive outdoor section. Nacht Der Untoten will be returning as you remember it, but will likely be included as a closed off version of the remake Die Maschine.

The second leaked map is called FirebaseZ and it is rumoured to be set in Vietnam. It is likely going to be a jungle map set on a Vietnamese island. The third map is going to be DLC, it will be set in Berlin and is though to be a reimagining of Kino Der Untoten, but other than that not much else is known.

Traditional Black Ops perks are returning, but TheGamingRevolution believes that they will be returning as canned drinks rather than in bottles like previous titles. Restyling the dispensing machines while keeping them in the classic style fans are used to seeing. Some new perks will make an appearance and even the traditional perks will be 2.0 versions of the classic choices. On top of this, all of the perks will be able to be levelled up, up to four times to increase the effects for the later stages of the game.

The Ray Gun will also be coming back, but we could have guessed that as its a staple in the Call of Duty zombies mode, but apparently a new wonder weapon is coming, called the Ray Rifle. It’s rumoured to be a variant of the Ray Gun but will be an Assault Rifle style weapon.

All of these leaks will probably only be the tip of the iceberg, there will be a lot more content to discover about the upcoming Black Ops Cold War zombies launch.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War is set to release on November 13 for PS4, PS5, Xbox one, Xbox Series Xm and PC.
