Gamers are in store for an “exciting new franchise” later this month from Take-Two.
Take-Two have confirmed that they will be announcing an “exciting new franchise” before the end of the month and will have a release planned to take place before the end of March 2022.
The news was revealed in a Take-Two Q1 2022 earnings call which revealed two new unannounced titles from the publisher.
The new title is said to be being worked on by Mafia 3 studio Hangar 13 and it said to be described as “Cthulhu meets Saints Row”.
Developer Firaxis is also said to be working on a Marvel themed title which is said to be a game of strategy.
Take-Two however have given no further details or clues as to what this new franchise may be that was mentioned in the recent earnings call.
The publisher also mentioned in the earnings call that Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 150 million copies across the world, this means that the game has sold a further 10 million copies since February this year.
This is number is likely to increase too since Rockstar have plans to launch an “expanded and enhanced” version of GTA V for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Along with GTA V there was also some impressive numbers shared for other titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 which has reportedly sold over 60 million copies worldwide.
