Youtuber JGOD has shown Warzone players why they should be using the ‘new’ suppressor after Raven Software made some changes to it.
Youtuber JGOD is a popular content creator and is most know for sharing the best Warzone attachments and is now showing fans why they should be using the basic suppressor on Black Ops Cold War weapons.
The Season 3 update which dropped back in May gave the basic suppressor an overhaul, currently the GRU suppressor has been the staple go-to for Black Ops Cold War weapons, however could we soon be seeing that change?

In the overhaul the basic suppressor was changed to give players a reduced ADS time, better bullet velocity, sound suppression and a quick sprint-to-fire time.
The only downside after the overhaul is that the ‘new’ suppressor is a decrease to effective damage range, JGOD was quick to jump in a test out the attachments which resulted in the new suppressor also being a good option.

Currently, the current build in Warzone will boost a bullets velocity by around 15% and boosts up sprint-to-fire and ADS by a tiny amount. The negative side however is that the range is currently reduced by 15% and as much as 25% on LMGs.
This means that the weapon’s handling buffs merged with a larger bullet velocity will oversee a drop to close-range weapons damage range drop off by the changes implemented to the new suppressor.

It may take some time for players to make the leap to the new basic suppressor as the GRU suppressor has always seemed to be the staple attachment.
