An industry insider has predicted that there may be a huge shift in players from Call of Duty after the release of this years upcoming Battlefield title.

Call of Duty has continued to grow from strength to strength and has no plans of slowing down any time soon, over the years the franchise has continue to build a steady and impressive fanbase however a insider seems to think that soon thing could change.

The much anticipated Battlefield 6 title that is due to release this year will no doubt pull in a huge player base from launch, well known leaker Tom Henderson has predicted that the success of the game will be colossal and may draw players away from Call of Duty.

Rumours are still circulating regarding the awaited Battlefield title, with many suggesting that the game may work on a subscription service whereas some believe that it may be completely free to play.

Call of Duty is still going strong especially after its recent update which saw the debut of the new Verdansk 84′ map, however the new map has been met with mixed feelings from players.

Players were disappointed with the new 1980’s style map as they had expected Activision to implement a completely new map altogether whereas others are enjoying the new aesthetic and exploring new POIs.

However, players may seem to prefer Battlefield after having so much time away from the series.

Henderson took to Twitter to say “So many people are going to move from CoD to Battlefield in the next 12 months. I’m that confident I even sold all my $ATVI stock for $EA“.

Henderson seems pretty confident in the games success but I guess only time will tell, hopefully we won’t have too much longer to wait with a trailer for Battlefield 6 rumoured to surface in May.
