Halo Infinite is said to have 23 maps when it launches this December.
The community were pleasantly surprised when a recent Tweet revealed that upcoming title Call of Duty: Vanguard would be launching with 20 maps.
That was until dataminer ‘Surasia4’ responded with a comment revealing Halo Infinite would be going one better and launching with 23 maps this December.
Surasia4 has since deleted this Tweet however it read “23 maps NOT according to flight files btw, im talking about maps that are actually in the game and have assets etc”.
Fans then flooded the post with questions about these upcoming maps, to which Surasia4 replied “Arena + BTB. You’ll see two BTB maps in the next flight, but expect much more in the final game”.
The dataminer has revealed that the next flight for Halo Infinite is due to take place in October, which doesn’t give the community very long to wait.
More and more information is being revealed as we draw closer to the titles official release, and from what we know so far it looks as if there is going to be a lot for fans to sink their teeth into especially from release.
Halo Infinite will be a free-to-play title and already has a loyal and dedicated fan base who are ready to hit the battlefield, although it seems that not everyone will be able to get a slice of the action as the game is scheduled to be an Xbox and PC exclusive.
The game will also be launching on Game Pass so players don’t have to worry about being limited due to older hardware.
Halo Infinite is expected to have a huge launch, after all it is one of the biggest franchises in the gaming industry.
