While video game enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the possible debut of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 next year, Rockstar Games remains committed to enhancing the GTA 5 experience. The developer has announced plans to introduce an exciting, cost-free expansion to the massively popular GTA 5 Online mode, aptly titled GTA Online: San Andreas Mercenaries, scheduled for launch on June 13.
The upcoming expansion promises to inject fresh dynamism into the gameplay by introducing players to new adversaries – Merryweather Security. As part of the Los Santos Angels, players will take part in exhilarating missions, executing data theft from servers, launching raids, and dropping explosive payloads on strategically valuable targets across the state. Simultaneously, Rockstar has incorporated random in-world events, providing opportunities for players to accumulate wealth and unlock unique items.

Rockstar has listened to its dedicated player base and integrated several user-requested updates. These include a feature for players to simultaneously recover all their destroyed vehicles from Mors Mutual Insurance, an alternative sprint control option in the Settings Menu, and custom labels for garages for quicker vehicle location. In addition, players can now use Taxi Liveries for Willard Eudora and Albany Classique Broadway, paving the way for exciting Taxi Work. Creatives are not left out, as the Creator tool will now offer additional props and weather settings, including the much-requested snow option.
With the San Andreas Mercenaries expansion compatible across all platforms, GTA 5 Online is set for a thrilling summer. As we edge closer to the launch date, Rockstar has promised more details to keep fans on the edge of their gaming seats. While awaiting the arrival of GTA 6, it seems clear that Rockstar is committed to ensuring its gamers continue to have a thrilling and enhanced gaming experience with GTA 5.
