Grand Theft Auto fans will get a glimpse of the GTA Trilogy – The Definitive Edition sooner than they think.
Rumours and speculation surrounding a GTA Trilogy Remaster has been circulating for a number of months now, with fans eager to hear official confirmation on the titles.
Rockstar Games have given fans exactly what they were hoping for as they finally announce Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
Rockstar Games took to Twitter to share the announcement with fans, the post read “In honor of the upcoming anniversary, today we are excited to announce that all three games will be coming to current generation platforms later this year in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition”.
The announcement comes after months of rumours regarding the titles, Rockstar has revealed that the trilogy will include remasters of GTA 3, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas.
A recent press release stated that the titles will include “graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements […] while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals”.
Of course we don’t know exactly what these enhancements will look like as of yet, although we are pretty sure Rockstar will reveal more details on the games as we draw closer to the launch.
It was also revealed that next week, the original versions of the game will be removed from digital storefronts, so those that want to enjoy the original titles should grab them quickly.
Last-gen consoles can expect to get their hands on the games on December 7, with current-gen and PC release dates coming early 2022.
