GTA 6 Fans Are Worried The Vice City Map Is Going To Be Too Big

The gaming world was sent into a frenzy as the highly-anticipated first look at GTA 6 was unveiled through leaked gameplay footage after a massive Rockstar Games hack. The leaks not only validated rumors of a return to Vice City and multiple protagonists but also offered a glimpse into the incredible scale of the game’s map.

Players used coordinates to estimate the size of Vice City in relation to Los Santos from GTA 5, and the results left many in awe. Vice City’s sheer magnitude has stirred up excitement and concerns alike, as some players ponder whether it could be too daunting.

A Twitter and Reddit user, ‘ChurchOfGTA’, compared GTA 5 coordinates with those found in the leaked footage to demonstrate the staggering size of Vice City. The city’s sprawling expanse easily dwarfs Los Santos, sparking a range of reactions from the gaming community.

I lined up the GTA V coordinates with the coordinates we have for GTA VI. If Rockstar is using the same scale, I think it's safe to say the map will be pretty big 🙏🌟 #GTA6 #RockstarGames pic.twitter.com/JdlfiGndNP

While many are thrilled by the enormous map, others express apprehension over potential empty spaces, reminiscent of GTA 5’s vast stretches of uninhabited land. “Bigger isn’t always better, we’ve seen that plenty,” one gamer pointed out.

Others called for a balance between countryside and city, reminiscent of San Andreas. “Please have a good balance… GTA 5 has way too many mountains with nothing but empty space,” another gamer urged.

As Rockstar has yet to officially announce GTA 6, the map’s size could undergo significant changes before the final version is released. The true test for Vice City will be whether it can provide engaging activities to keep players entertained for years to come, proving that size isn’t the only factor that counts.
