Sony has delayed the Playstation exclusive game Returnal as the new title needs more time to be polished.
Returnal was initially due to be released on March 19th 2021 and was set to be an exclusive to PS5, however now the game will be released on April 30th 2021.
In the statement issued by Sony, they claim the game needed more time to be polished.
“SIE and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque.”
The news came via Twitter when Playstation took to the platform to share the disappointing news with eager fans who were waiting on the games launch.

A lot of players who were anticipating the games release have been left disappointed by the unexpected delay, however it stands to reason to make the delay if the game is not completely ready.
For those who don’t about the PS5 exclusive game, Returnal is set to be a third person game which is of the survival horror genre. We were first let into a taste of the game in summer of last year during the reveal of the PS5.
