Two brand new weather changes are set to be added to Forza Horizon 5, in the form of dust storms and tropical storms.
Forza Horizon 5 is set to have dynamic weather unlike anything we have seen before in the series, it has been revealed that the upcoming title will be getting two brand new weather effects.
These new weather effects will be coming in the form of dust storms and tropical storms which will definitely prove for some exhilarating game play.
Recently, Playground Games’ art director Don Arceta, lead lighting artist Lukas Koelz and senior lighting artist Adam Currey sat down to talk about the games upcoming dynamic weather in the latest Forza Horizon 5 Let’s Go episode.
Arceta says “Storm chasing was a big thing in our plans when we were starting the project”.
Players will be able to experience tropical storms rolling in along with huge dust storms, these will be visible from a distance and players will be able to move along to approach these extreme weather conditions.
These will be seasonal weather changes, so players can expect to be hit with tropical storms from June until November while facing dust storms from the middle of October through to April.
The team also presented some new footage which showed off just how these weather effects will look. The weather in the title will also be regional as well as seasonal, so expect a light drizzle if your travelling through the desert to colossal downpours while in the jungle.
The episode goes further into details about the title dynamic skies thanks to Playground Games and their 12K capture process.
