Former Call of Duty manager Byron Beede will now be working on the Battlefield franchise.
EA have made it clear that their focus will be directed at the Battlefield franchise, they have also revealed that there will be a total of five studios that are tying up ends on the newest instalment in the franchise.
Now it seems that former Call of Duty executive, Byron Beede is the new general manager of the franchise which EA have stated is a long-term commitment for the growth of the series.
It’s likely that Beede will have a helping hand on the upcoming Battlefield release set for this year alongside taking the lead on the future of the franchise and decide what route it will take.
Of course no one knows just where the future of Battlefield will take us, but there are some pretty obvious hints about where EA want the series to go.
The hiring of Beede suggests that EA are looking for Battlefield to achieve the same success as Call of Duty, after all the competition between Battlefield and Call of Duty has always been significant.
Beede’s expertise will also come into play in the development of the Battlefield mobile game that EA announced earlier this year, after he played a key part in the creation of Call of Duty: Mobile.
We can’t wait to see what direction the series will take after this years planned instalment, players can expect the trailer for this years title drop later this month.
