It was revealed in the recent PS5 showcase that Final Fantasy 16 was announced as one of the games in the upcoming line up for the new console.
The trailer revealing an insight into game play was shown at the recent showcase. It was however announced as a PS5 exclusive, although only for a limited time period. Does this news mean that the game will not be released for PS4?

The previous games in the series were all launched on a multitude of consoles, therefore it came a shock for gamers that it will only be released as a Playstation 5 exclusive. This means for PC gamers or fans playing on Xbox will not be able to carry on the series.

There also wasn’t any further hints or information if the game would be release on older consoles. However fans remain hopeful as it seemed to be portrayed that in the trailer it would only be exclusive for a limited amount of time.
It was depicted in the trailer that the game might return to visit themes of previous games in the series as the focus on the importance of the crystals and the high fantasy setting, all journeyed back to less recent releases.
Fans remain on the edge of their seats hoping that more information will surface in 2021, however we can’t say for certain if future updates will include release date for older consoles and other platforms.
