Fans are hoping that 15 years later, that there will be a remake of The Warriors for next-gen consoles.
You could probably count on one hand just how many video games have been made based on movies, but whenever the topic does come up you can guarantee that The Warriors will be mentioned.

The Warriors video game is based on the The Warriors movie which debuted in 1979 which was also based on a book written by Sol Yurick in 1965, you can tell Rockstar really took its time to create a masterpiece with this title.
Of course the title has not aged well since its 2005 release, but this just gives fans more momentum to hope for a remake in the near future.

Although it seems like the game has left more than a lasting impression on fans with many now calling for the game to be remade more than 15 years on.
Google seems to have a number of petitions from fans campaigning for a remake of the iconic game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Many of these petitions were created years ago however some of them have been created in the past few months.

Comments from fans have flooded these petitions, many highlighting the good memories they have while playing the title all those years ago.
Sadly none of these petitions have resulted in action but it does go to show just how may dedicated fans there is hoping to see the game remade.

Whether we will eventually see a remake of The Warriors is unclear, fans will just have to wait and see if their efforts eventually set a remake into motion.
