Following confirmation from Activision and Infinity Ward that this years Call of Duty title will be Modern Warfare 2, the sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, fans have been left with a lot of unanswered questions.
Since the game was confirmed, the community has been left wondering if there will be a multiplayer beta as this seems to always be the case for the Call of Duty franchise.
However, up to now nothing regarding a Modern Warfare 2 beta has been officially confirmed, although it is likely we will see one before the games launch.
These are mostly used by the developers in order to gain some insight and feedback into how the game is running before the official release to allow time to implement some necessary fixes.
So, if we were to see a multiplayer beta take place, based on what we have seen previously, it is likely that it would happen around late summer or early autumn.
This would allow the developers time to iron out any potential bugs or glitches found within the game from player feedback. Usually only players who have pre-ordered the game have access to these betas, however we don’t know if that will be the case with Modern Warfare 2.
It looks like fans will have to wait this one out until an official announcement is made.
