Activision and Sledgehammer Games are attempting to save Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III with the Season 1 update.
Gunfight
Season 1 marks the return of the fan-favorite Gunfight mode. A new map, Training Facility, is tailored for this mode, offering a unique blend of combat and parkour.
Multiplayer

The update also introduces three new 6v6 multiplayer maps:
- Meat: Set in the gritty locale of East Bay Meats slaughterhouse.
- Greece: A picturesque, Mediterranean-inspired coastal town.
- Rio: Featuring the vibrant streets of an upscale Brazilian shopping center.

Zombies
The Zombies storyline continues with an eerie, mysterious gateway in the Exclusion Zone. Season 1 introduces Dark Aether Rifts – a challenging end-game experience demanding skill and quick thinking. Additionally, the ‘Friend Zone’ weapon turns enemies into allies, adding a strategic twist to the gameplay.

Warzone
Urzikstan, an urban landscape with 11 major points-of-interest, is the new addition to Call of Duty: Warzone. This map is not just about size; it’s about mobility, featuring updated mechanics like Slide cancelling, Tac-Stance, horizontal ziplines, and a drivable train. Anyone who has already played the new zombies mode will be familiar with this map.

According to Activision, Season 1 isn’t just about what’s been announced. Players can expect surprises, including MP Ranked play and a special mid-season “snowy event”.
