EA recently answered a lot of questions on the upcoming Battlefield 2042 title, giving fans some interesting details about the games robot dogs.
EA recently published a huge update post which delved deeper into some of the finer details of the upcoming Battlefield 2042 title, especially into what we can expect tot see from the games robot dogs.
Ranger the robodog is not connected to any specific class of character which means players can drop one into any battle at any given time.
It is still unclear if players will be able to pet Ranger however it seems like gutsy battle partner who has lots of tricks up its sleeve.
Battlefield 2042’s senior design director Daniel Berlin stated “Once safely on the ground, Ranger will follow and protect you and even put your life above their own! You’ll also be able to issue orders such as scouting a location, having them return to you and follow you. If a situation becomes dire, you can also command Ranger to self-destruct”.
Berlin followed up by saying “If there are 120 players out of 128 players currently playing in a server, 8 AI soldiers will join the match to help even out the teams. Should a player leave, another AI soldier will temporarily replace them until a new player joins the game.”
So it seems that will use bots to fill up matches if the server is not full, this will help players have a more smooth and fair experience as they play.
Although these AI soldiers will come with their limits, they won’t have access to specialities such as wingsuits, but they will be able to call upon vehicles for assisstance.
There will also be more revealed at EA Play Live on July 22nd, but until then be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
