Dr Disrespect Starts Up His Own Game Development Studio

Melika ZaidiBy Melika ZaidiAugust 13, 2021

Popular streamer Dr Disrespect has recently announced he will be starting up his own game development studio in a bid to partner with ‘mega influencers’ to create their dream game.

Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm is going into business for himself as he has plans to launch his own game development studio.

This was revealed due to a job listing that has appeared on his Champion’s Club website, this makes sense as he is a former employee at Activision as a level designer.

The studio is currently unnamed, but fans are already eager to know what the studio will go by in the future.

One thing we know for sure is that the studio will be creating games by collaborating with a series of ‘mega influencers’ in a bid to create their dream games.

At present there is only a job listing available for a studio head position, this looks as if it is the first step towards beginning the project.

Although we don’t know a great deal of information on the studio, the job description gives away a few clues of what exactly it will entail.

“The studio plans to forge a partnership with a select list of mega influencers and then work closely with them to launch their dream gaming title,”

“Those gaming titles will either be incubated and developed OR partner/co develop with existing indie game developers and launched as mega titles.”

The future looks as if making influencers a part of the design and development of new titles will be a staple, as many titles already utilise influencers in their marketing strategies currently.

There was also a section in the description in which it mentioned esports along with monetisation so this gives some insight into the types of games we can see coming from the studio.

Many fans are also wondering about Dr Disrespect’s bizarre and sudden Twitch ban which took place last year, it is still unclear why this happened as Twitch has never officially given a reason for the ban.

Fans will just have to hang on and see what is in store for the future and what titles we will see come from the studio.
