GSC Game World have confirmed that Stalker 2 will run on Unreal Engine 5.
During this years Xbox E3’s showcase, fans were treated to an incredible Stalker 2 gameplay demo showcasing what is in store when the game finally releases.
It appears that Stalker 2 is following suit in the same footsteps as a number of other titles that have also made the move to the impressive graphics engine.
The next instalment in the Stalker series will be one of the very first titles to utilise Unreal Engine 5 on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, hopefully this will really show off exactly what these next-gen consoles are capable of.
Stalker’s official Twitter account took to Twitter to reveal the title will be running on Unreal Engine 5.
The post read “Hey @UnrealEngine, Feel free to mention we’re running on UE5”.
Unreal Engine replied to their Tweet by saying jokingly “Hey, sure thing! We thought it was a secret, though…”
There are a few other titles that will be moving over the Unreal Engine 5 for their development such as State of Decay 3, Hellblade 2, The Coalition’s future projects and potentially The Outer Worlds 2.
This means it may not be much longer until we start seeing ourselves immersed in some truly next-gen games, fans should be excited as what the future holds for these titles and others.
