A whole batch of new information on upcoming title Avowed has been shared over at Windows Central. We haven’t heard a lot about upcoming Xbox Exclusive Avowed since it was announced back in July of last year… until now. It seems that a number of details about the titles current state have finally been revealed, it looks as though it is in pre-production with the studio at the moment however it is close to having an early version.
There is always the possibility that we could see this title ready for E3 2022, but hopefully we see it reach completion before then.
Avowed is said to be similar to what we have seen from The Outer Worlds, and will include “action-oriented first-person combat and deep RPG exploration and narrative system.
It has also been noted that the game will use a similar two-handed combat system to what we have seen used in Skyrim, this will also give players the ability to use several class playstyles.
“You could wield two daggers and be a stealthy rogue, or dive into archery with a two-handed bow. You could use a combination of swords and magic, or go full two-handed magic, which is required to wield some of the game’s more potent spells and abilities.”
Avowed is set to also feature a number of elements such as weapon enchantments and wizard spells, although despite initial thoughts that the game could be quite dark, it it said to be a lot more upbeat and colourful than expected.
“Avowed went from relative obscurity in my list of most anticipated Xbox games to sitting near the top, especially as a big fan of The Outer Worlds. Obsidian’s excellent character writing and penchant for branching narratives, combined with the rich World of Eternity gives Avowed some seriously huge potential, and I can’t wait to see the game fully revealed.”
Although there is no concrete release date set at the moment, we will be sure to keep youn updated so be sure to check back with us here at Gamerficial.
