Upcoming title, Castillo Protocol developers reveal that they used real-life horror and gore for inspiration.
A few weeks ago we got the first proper glimpse of what we can expect from the Callisto Protocol when it finally releases, one thing however which gamers noticed was just how similar the game was to Dead Space.
Fans were also quick to notice just how violent the game looks so far, although this is not surprising considering the devs used “real-life violence” as inspiration for the title.
The devs have obviously been hard at work ensuring that every detail of the game looks incredibly realistic, but could the game come under fire for being maybe too realistic?
Striking Distance Studios’ chief creative officer Chris Stone recently spoke out regarding some inspirations for the game and gave nods to Resident Evil and Silent Hill as “obvious inspirations”.
He also mentioned some movies such as Event Horizon and The Thing along with some inspiration also taken from Korean and French cinema.
Stone added that the The Callisto Protocol will include some of the most memorable content when it comes to how realistic it is despite it being a “lot less fun to research”.
