Following the reveal of Battlefield 2042’s new sandbox mode Portal, Call of Duty players have been calling for a similar style mode to be added to Warzone.
Warzone players are hoping Raven Software will implement a similar style mode to Battlefield 2042’s portal.
It has recently been revealed that this years upcoming Battlefield 2042 title will include a new sandbox mode name Portal, this will allow players to create their own game using elements from previous Battlefield games in the franchise.
Players will be able to use content from previous Battlefield titles such as weapons, vehicles, maps and much more to create their own gaming experiences.
This means players will be able to use elements from the new title as well as some of their favourites that have been left behind in previous entries in the franchise.
The announcement of this mode has seemed to prove popular with fans, so much so that Call of Duty players are now hoping for a similar feature to be added to Warzone.
Well known leaker Tom Henderson recently took to Twitter claiming that this may very well be on the cards and we could be seeing a Call of Duty Portal arrive in the next five years.
The post read “And that’s how you incorporate remastered content into your game. I have a feeling we’ll be getting a “Call of Duty Portal” in the next 5 years.”
Call of Duty has incorporated many maps and weapons from previous titles in the game although there has never been a dedicated mode allowing players to use the content in their own way and put their own spin on their gaming experience.
Youtuber ‘Matterz’ also took to Twitter hopeful that we could see a similar set up in future.
The post read “The Battlefield Portal looks mad cool. Imagine if Call of Duty did something like this..”
Of course we can’t say for sure if this will definitely come into fruition although we can remain hopeful as we see what the future brings.
