Call of Duty 2021 Vanguard Release Date and Leaks

Rumours have already started circulating regarding the upcoming Call of Duty 2021 title, here is everything we know so far.

The Call of Duty series continues to go from strength to strength and it seems like it has intention on slowing down anytime soon. Rumours and leaks have started surfacing thick and fast with claims of what this years Call of Duty title may include.

Here is everything we know so far.

Release Date

Currently, there is no official release date for Call of Duty 2021, however if we look at previous release dates of earlier titles in the franchise there seems to be a pattern forming.

Every year a new Call of Duty title has launched in November, apart from Black Ops 4 which we saw launch in October. So, if we see this years title following suit, we could expect to see the new title launch around November time.

However, a recent leak has claimed that the title may be facing some delays due to older consoles, if this rumours proves to be true it could be that we see the launch of Call of Duty 2021 later than we expect.

Vanguard Leaks

We are yet to see any leaks of the game itself, there has been no screenshots or footage leaked of the upcoming title apart from a series of unofficial photoshopped images and fake announcements.

Vanguard Developer

Known leaker ‘Victor_Z’ posted a Tweet suggesting that Sledgehammer Games will be the developer of the new title.

The Tweet which included WWII art attracted quite a bit of attention from fans with many questioning if it would be a WWII title. Victor_Z simple replied to the question by saying only ‘WWII’.

Vanguard Setting

There has been a vast number of rumours claiming to know the setting and time frame of the upcoming Vanguard title, one of which coming from ‘ModernWarzone’ who suggested that Call of Duty 2021 may possibly take place in a fictional timeline where WWII had yet to come to an end.

However, this rumour has since been debunked by Eurogamer, however they confirmed that the title is likely to be called Vanguard and take place in a World War II setting.

Vanguard Map

Players are still getting to grips with the new Verdansk 84′ map that has came onto scene. it was initially met with mixed feelings from fans with many disappointed as they had hopes that Activision would add a completely new map.

Rumours say that Sledgehammer Games is set to transport fans back to WWII however a new Warzone map shouldn’t be expected until 2022.

Leaks from insider Tom Henderson claimed “we are 100% not getting a World War 2 Warzone map in 2021” he then went on to say that we should expect the release date of the new map to take place around April in 2022.

Of course, we must take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing has yet been confirmed officially by the games developers. Fans will have to hold out to see what is in store for the future of Call of Duty.
