It’s no secret that Warzone is going to continue and be implemented into new Call of Duty games. Essentially linking all the future titles in the series, with characters, weapons and items from each game all being added into Warzone.

The crossover started a few months back when the developers announced the new Call of Duty game inside of Warzone, players had to complete tasks and missions based on the new game, and even got a chance to meet Frank Woods in the map, but since then, nothing new has been added to keep the crossover going. That could be about to change very soon.

ModernWarzone used Twitter to bring attention to an image posted by Activision on their blog, saying that Nikolai Belinski can been seen in the screenshot for Warzone. The image was originally released as part of the breakdown for the new subway system.

This version of Nikolai was originally seen in Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, and Black Ops 4, and has a noticeable design. But when you compare the Warzone image to an image of Nikolai you can clearly see that the characters are extremely similar at the very least.

It wouldn’t be the first time Activision have released a promotional image with a teaser for upcoming content. A few months ago before they announced the updated stadium in Warzone, they released a screenshot that showed the top of the building opened up.

It wouldn’t be surprising if this was an intentional tease by Activision and not a screw up. Only time will tell if it even is Nikolai in the screenshot or if it’s just someone who looks a but like him.
