A Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 map has left fans divided as players seem to be hit with the Mandela effect.
Countless debates have taken place over the years within the Call of Duty community, and today is no exception as we see a huge divide between fans debating over a Black Ops 2 map.
Dallas Empire player Indervir ‘iLLeY’ Dhaliwal sparked off a huge debate amongst players on Twitter over a sign in a map that has been in the franchise for years.
The pro took to Twitter with an image of the Standoff map from Black Ops 2, which has caused the Mandela effect with fans.
For those who are not familiar with the Mandela effect, it is essentially when you recall a distorted memory and think that it is real life.
In this case, iLLey uploaded an image from Standoff that claimed Cold War’s most recent update added a sign that was not there previously.
The post read “Can’t believe they just added this sign”.
The post was soon met with hundreds of comments from fans who claim the sign has always been there, while others agree it has just been added.
Players have been racking their brains trying to remember if the sign has always been there, back since the map was first released.
The internet has been left divided buy this post, with many offering their opinion and leaving many who just can’t decide.
Even Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has been left confused by the situation.
The post read “I am in disbelief. There is no way this sign was in the original Black Ops 2 Standoff. This is the greatest example of the Mandela Effect that I’ve ever witnessed.”
What do you think, has the sign always been there?
