Cloud Chamber, the 2K Games studio who are developing a new BioShock game have listed several new developer positions on its website.
The positions listed on the website give us a few insights into what we can look to expect from the upcoming title. Looking into the job description for these vacancies it’s clear that the new title will be an open world game with both primary and secondary quests.

A role for a ‘Senior Writer’ is open on the website which again confirms the open world setting for the new game along with the quest format. “We’re hoping to find someone who can weave impactful, character-driven stories in an open world setting.”
The vacancy also goes on to say “Brainstorm primary and secondary mission content with design. Represent the narrative department and its pillars during those conversations.”

Across the vacancies there is also a request for the successful candidate to have experience with Unreal Engine 4, along with the ‘Senior World Designer’s’ duties entailing “Combine hand-crafted set-pieces with emerging AI behaviour to create a “living” world that offers players variety at every step of the game”.
It also goes on to say “Design and create systemic world moments, as well as bespoke quests, that breathe life into the game.”

Although there is always the potential that plans could change and evolve during the development of the title, so there is currently no further information on a release.
