Fans have noticed that the logo and title for this years Call of Duty title has leaked on Activision’s website.
Last year we saw the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and have since seen its integration with Warzone, this has given players regular updates allowing them to explore brand new maps, weapons and vehicles among both titles.
Since the merge between the two title has taken place, Activision has seen crazy success from microtransactions in-game, therefore it makes sense that Warzone will prominently feature centrally in future Call of Duty titles.
Battle.net recently received an update that saw an internal alpha added to the service, and it didn’t take long for eagle eyed fans to notice and share it online.
Well known leaker Tom Henderson took to Twitter to share his discovery on Battle.net.
The post read “Call of Duty 2021 has updated on Battle.net as “Call of Duty: Slipstream” with the attached logo. Looks very WW2 to me.”
It appears to be named ‘Slipstream’ with a very rustic logo, Henderson noted that Slipstream is the codename for this years title and it will be set in World War II.
This would make sense as Sledgehammer Games will be taking the reins on this project, however the last entry this worked on in its entirety was Call of Duty: WWII.
Of course there has been confirmed from Sledgehammer Games or Activision on the setting of the upcoming title, with rumours surfacing online regularly fans will have to hang on for official confirmation.
