Following the reveal of the much anticipated Battlefield 2042 title DICE has seen a huge surge in player numbers for Battlefield 4.

The hype has continued to grow for the upcoming Battlefield 2042 title over the past few months, we have seen previous titles in the franchise journey back to explore different world wars which has seen the removal of fan favourite weapons and vehicles.

However, as the new Battlefield 2042 title will be set in the near future, we will see a lot of these items and gadgets make a return back into the game to complete the modern day experience.
The upcoming title will also bring back the destruction element that the series is known and loved for, the game trailer gave fans some insight into the destructive gameplay that lies ahead.

Players will be able to experience different events across each of the games maps such as twisters and tornadoes that bring different elements to each battle.
The recent announcement of the title at this years E3 event has clearly enticed players to revisit the franchise as Battlefield 4 has seen a huge surge in players following the reveal.

Community Manager Straatford revealed in EA forums that Battlefield 4 has seen a massive rise of players since the Battlefield 2042 reveal, so much so that queue times in the US West region have became ridiculously long.
So, it seems that fans have been enticed back to Battlefield 4 since the reveal of this years upcoming Battlefield 2042 title since it is the latest game in the series and features similar weapon types.

Battlefield 4’s player count has risen so much so DICE has had to increase server capacity to allow for the sudden rise in players and allow players to be found quicker.
Of course, EA and DICE will monitor players wait time and assess if any further changes need to be made.
