Back 4 Blood players have been left confused by some of the sound effects used in the game.
Players who are currently participating in the Back 4 Blood beta have reported hearing some strange things from the zombies in the game and have been taken to social media to share their concerns.
Players have reported hearing zombies in the game call out racial slurs and it seems there are a few players who thinks they may have heard the same thing.
Back 4 Blood is the latest entry from developers at Turtle Rock Studios who created the original Left 4 Dead title.
So far it seems as if Back 4 Blood plays out pretty similarly to what we have seen previously in Left 4 Dead which were some of the best co-op games on the market.
It seems that the zombies have a lot more to say for themselves in Back 4 Blood with a lot more screaming and moaning involved. Though, it seems that players may have noticed the zombies saying something else entirely.
Twitter user @HomBKE stumbled across a zombie in the beta, which wasn’t surprising however what came next was. The players encountered a zombie running towards them and heard what seemed to be the n-word as they came closer.
The player responded simply by saying “What did you call me?” while concentrating on trying to take the zombie down.
The post read “These zombies a different breed”.
Of course, the sound wasn’t intentionally added to the game. The developers responded saying:
“Our team has been made aware of offensive language that can be heard when playing the game. This was not recorded or ever intended to be part of our gameplay,” says the statement.
“The audio is a result of two different Ridden growls that are playing simultaneously and when heard together sound like that word. We are working diligently to fix this issue, which should be completed either in time for the Beta, or when the game launches.”
