Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Revealed During E3

Ubisoft’s upcoming title Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora revealed at E3.

Ubisoft ended this years E3 presentation by revealing its upcoming Avatar game, the title is set to release sometime in 2022 although it is still unclear exactly what date this will be.

The title Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is based on James Cameron’s film Avatar which release 11 years ago and is set to be a first-person action game which will take players on a host of adventures.

The game will be a standalone story that will put the player into the shoes of a Navi and take them on a wild journey across the Western Frontier, it is also set to give players a taste of never seen before areas of Pandora.

The game will be built on Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine which is also used for The Division franchise which gives it the perfect base to create surreal open world designs.

There are no further details so to speak on the upcoming title, however Ubisoft have stated that the title will be “a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters”.

Ubisoft also noted that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be developed “exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC”.

The game is being taken on by its Massive Studio who are also working on the upcoming Star Wars title, however David Polfeldt, the managing director has mentioned that the studio was large enough to complete both games at the same time.

Polfeldt said “We are always looking to collaborate with fellow creators to bring players memorable experiences and immerse them in incredible worlds, as shown by the amazing collaborations we have with Lightstorm, Lucasfilm, and Disney. Together, we are focused on projects that push the boundaries of open-worlds and player immersion to the limit, and that direction suits the rich universes of Avatar and Star Wars extremely well”.

Ubisoft also announced other upcoming titles such as Assassins Creed Valhalla’s new Siege of Paris expansion and Rainbow Six Extraction.
