Conversations on Reddit quickly turned to ancient Rome once they had discovered that the game has never actually taken place there, after all it seems like such an obvious choice.
Looking back over all of the previous AC titles, it does seem strange that a game has never used ancient Rome as a setting. Although we have seen countless adventures taking place in Rome or within the same timeframe as the Roman Empire, there has yet to be a title which takes place at the peak of the Roman Empire.
With so much history and rich culture packed into ancient Rome it has disappointed fans that they haven’t yet had the chance to explore it through the world of AC.
Could it be that we see this as a location in the future?
As Assassin’s Creed continues to grow from strength to strength and clearly has no intentions of slowing down soon, it could well be that we may see this come into fruition at some point in the future.
Of course, we can’t say when or even if this will happen but we can certainly keep our fingers crossed and see what the future brings.
But in the meantime be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
