Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Is Being Made Into An Animated TV Series

Another instalment in the Assassins Creed franchise has been confirmed as a sequel to AC: Black Flag is in the works.

Any Assassins Creed fan will know the story is a long and complex one, there are many titles which make up the detailed storyline take players on a different journey each and every time.

There is one entry in particular though that players had seemed to enjoy, Assassins Creed: Black Flag was the game every one had hoped would continue on in a sequel.

The title was originally release back in 2013 and gave the franchise a a mix up with its pirate theme as it took players on a journey through the seas on a mission for loot and treasures.

Fans will be happy to know that the fan favourite pirate assassin will be making a return in a sequel, although it won’t be in the way we expected.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, it was revealed that Blag Flag will be returning in the form of an animated series, Ubisoft publishing manager Etienne Bouvier and transmedia director Aymar Azaïzia let fans in on the fact that the series will features Black Flag star Edward Kenway.

Currently, there is not a huge amount of details on offer regarding the upcoming season although we are excited to see what it will bring and what direction it will take the story in.

“In the past we had a former team which I was part of – and I was kind of the gatekeeper for the Assassin’s Creedverse. That was super fun but super tough with all the projects and everyone involved. And then it separated into me doing everything that’s happening on the transmedia [non-game] side, which is massive. It’s the projects, the TV series, the movie which I worked on… There’s always so much to do.”
