Respawn Entertainment are taking their anti-cheat measures to new levels in Apex Legends, the development team has been expanded with a focus on stopping hackers in their tracks.
Hacks and cheats have exploded in popularity this year, no matter what game you play you’ll more than likely run into someone using third party software to help them out, and now that cheats are accessible to almost anyone the problem just keeps getting worse.
Warzone’s cheating situation reached and all time high in 2021, causing multiple streamers and players to boycott the game, and cheaters already have their sights set on Battlefield 2042 before the game is even released.
While Warzone is having a tough time putting a stop to these cheaters, Apex Legends has done a reasonable job putting measures in place before the situation got too bad, but players in some regions have complained that the cheating is more apparent than in others.
The community can rest easy knowing that the developers behind the game are taking more action against hacking.
Conor Ford, a member of the Apex security team reported on Twitter that the company recently hired two new security developers one of which based in Japan, an area that has suffered more from cheating.
“Our 2 new hires for security have been unleashed and are now banning. This includes the JP counterpart. They grow up so fast” He said in his tweet.
The team have been monitoring the situation in Japan for quite some time now, and have now taken action to stop hackers in the region.
Hopefully this makes a huge difference for gamers in Japan, as well as players in other regions.
