Every Animal Crossing player knows the struggle of hearing that fateful balloon sounds only to find that they are not equipped with a slingshot, well fear no more…
We have all been in that position when you see a balloon approaching only to find that you don’t have a slingshot to hand, or worse… it breaks!

Well, a player has found a sure fire way to pop those pesky balloons without using a slingshot. Reddit user ‘ItzStarr86’ took to the platform to share a clip of how this can be done.

We start by seeing the moment a balloon is floating by, the player then realises they are not in possession of a slingshot. The player then suddenly leaps into action and starts to construct a cliff, they created the cliff in an area that would line up perfectly with the balloon and it floats past.
They then proceeded to whip out their ladder and climb up on top of the cliff, they then equip their net and swing it in perfect time as the balloon passes. This then pops the balloon releasing the gift and letting it drop to the ground.

Of course, to do this trick for yourself you will need to have terraforming unlocked on your island in order to build the cliff. Another small issue with this method is that you would also need to have a net in your pocket, so you’re just at likely to forget your net as you are your slingshot.
However, make sure you have either your slingshot or net in your pockets at all times and your golden!
