Data mines have shown new evidence of planes in Warzones game files.
Call of Duty: Warzone has an abundance of vehicle options for players to choose from, although many of these are ground operated vehicles.
Air vehicles have been somewhat limited to only helicopters so far, although now according to a new leak it could be that planes are on their way to Warzone.
The planes are said to be on their way to Warzone’s Payload game mode which will be appearing as part of Season 4 Reloaded.
The Payload mode will consist of two teams of 20 battling against each other to transport a caravan across a specific part of Verdansk.
One teams role will be to stop the enemies by either creating barricades or simply killing them, the mode will also feature a mechanic in which players are able to purchase buildings with in-game currency.
As this new mode is set to bring so many new features to the game, it doesn’t come as a surprise that planes could be thrown into the mix too.
The leak comes from ‘ZestyCODLeaks’ who took to Twitter to share the news, the post read:
“PLANES COMING TO WARZONE? This isn’t clickbait.. In a script file for Payload, the new 20v20 game mode coming with S4R, I found some interesting file names & script code. There is PLANE spawns for both teams in-game, BUT it could also just be A.I. planes.”
The post contained a screen shot which showed code reading “plane_vehicle” which proves to be a very interesting find.
It could be that this is code for planes with some type of weaponry although it could be as simple as an AI controlled streak.
However this information matches up with a previous leak from Tom Henderson who claimed that Warzone would be getting a new map that would include planes as its form of transport.
Of course we must take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing is yet confirmed, although it won’t be too long until we find out.
