Pocketpair has suggested that the full 1.0 release of Palworld could be far larger and more ambitious than many players expect, with developers hinting that the final version of the game may significantly expand on the experience currently available in early access.
Speaking about the future of the game, Pocketpair publishing lead John “Bucky” Buckley explained that the team is aiming to build a survival crafting experience that appeals to a wide range of players. According to Buckley, the goal is to create a version of Palworld that feels like the survival crafting game many players have been looking for.
While the title has already achieved enormous success since its early access launch in January 2024, the studio believes the full release could transform the game even further. Buckley indicated that the 1.0 version may introduce more changes than players expect, suggesting that the final build could reshape multiple systems across the game.
Many of the details surrounding the 1.0 update are still being kept secret. However, the developers have hinted that the scope of the update goes beyond typical patches or small feature additions, with the team continuing to expand the world and refine the game’s mechanics.

Palworld combines elements of open world exploration, survival mechanics, crafting systems, and creature collecting. Players explore a large world filled with creatures known as Pals, which can be captured and used to help with tasks such as resource gathering, base building, and combat.
Since its launch, the game has received several updates that have introduced new content and improvements. These updates have gradually expanded the game’s systems and added new areas and mechanics for players to explore.
Although Pocketpair has not yet confirmed when the full release will arrive, the studio has suggested that the changes planned for the 1.0 version could encourage players to start new characters in order to fully experience the updated progression and gameplay systems.
For now, the developers are keeping many details about the final release under wraps. However, their comments suggest that Palworld may continue to grow significantly as it moves closer to its complete launch.
