Counter-Strike 2’s release date could be coming much sooner than we think, as the games creator has filed a series of new trademarks linked to CSGO Source 2.
Valve recently updated CSGO from the backend, new files added in the update pointed towards a new version of the game releasing soon. Now it looks like Valve are getting ready to announce a release date as fresh trademark filings linked to both Counter-Strike GO, and something labeled CS2.
At first, it appeared Valve were just updating the Source engine, but the new Trademark filings suggest this would be a full release of Counter-Strike 2.
Valve submitted an application to The United States Patent and Trademark Office for something called CS2. The trademark also links to two other Valve properties, Counter-Strike and CSGO.
