According to an industry insider,, the rumoured Gears of War Remastered Collection is still in development at Microsoft. The rumours initially started back in 2022 due to statements made on the XboxEra podcast.
The shows co-host, Nick Baker claimed that the Gears of War franchise would get the same treatment as the Halo Master Chief Collection, claiming that it would release sometime in 2022.
Fans have begun to doubt the initial claims of a Remastered Collection, probably due to the fact that we’re now in 2023 and the games haven’t even been announced, never mind already released.
But, an insider claims that the games are still in the works.
Nick Baker recently tweeted that he is still convinced the Gears of War Collection is coming, “…I won’t back down. It’s happening,” he wrote.
He went on to say that he couldn’t offer much more in the way of concrete evidence for the claim “I’m currently not allowed to give much more detail than it’s happening”. He went on to say how he was working on loosening the grip.
On top of Nicks claims, Microsoft also filed a gaming-related Gears of War trademark back in September of 2022. Since then, The Coalition (Gears of War’s developer), have announced that they are working with Netflix to release a live-action film and an animated series to the streaming platform.
