Grand Theft Auto V has been on the market for nine years now, and for the first time since 2013 sales of the game have started to slow down.
Since release, the game has sold between 170-175 million copies worldwide, and Rockstar are hoping to reach 200 million copies soon. A recent financial report shows that for the first time in nine years, GTA V sales have started slowing down.
Take Two Interactive have only started updating their sales records in increments of 5 million, so we’ll have to wait until the next update to find out if they reach 180 million or higher.
The franchise as a whole has sold over 385 million copies worldwide, with 45% of those sales being GTA V.
