There has been a number of rumours circulating recently regarding a new map coming to Vanguard and now it seems that the developers have address some recent speculation.
Call of Duty fans have been waiting eagerly for the release of this years Vanguard title, over the past few months speculation surrounding the title has gone into overload, so much so that the games developers have had to step in and address recent rumours.
It’s not often that the devs feel the need to step up and get involved with ongoing rumours, however it seems that this time, fans may have taken things just that bit too far.
There has been a number of ideas tossed around recently as to what the upcoming title may feature and how it will integrate with Warzone.
One of the main rumour circulating has been surrounding animals that players will be able to fight in the new Vanguard map, a recent post on Twitter from leaker ‘ModernWarzone’ mentioned the likes of sharks and monkeys being present in the map.
The post read “Unconfirmed Rumor: The Pacific Themed #Warzone map will feature Animals! Some of the ones that have been mentioned include sharks and monkeys. It’s also stated that animals will drop loot once killed. Again I CAN NOT CONFIRM THIS, but wouldn’t it be cool af?!?”
Raven Software were then quick to reply to the Tweet, simply stating “lmao”.
The leak suggested that the upcoming map would be “Pacific-themed” and would include certain animals such as monkeys and sharks.
It seems that Raven Software felt the need to step in on this one, as having a verified account with over 400,000 followers giving out this kind of information may not end well.
Of course, some animals already exist in Call of Duty like birds for example, could it actually be that we will see predatory animals come into the game in future?
While Raven Software didn’t really say much in response, its a good indication from their response that these rumours aren’t true, but either way there isn’t much time to wait until we’ll find out for sure.
