As the release of Battlefield 2042 looms ever closer, a recent leak has suggested that the upcoming title may still feature a Battle Royale mode.
Leaks for Battlefield 2042 are still surfacing online thick and fast, and it seems the latest suggests that the long awaited title may still feature a Battle Royale mode.

The information comes from well known leaker Tom Henderson as he took to Twitter to share the news with fans.
The post read “Hazard Zone will morph into a more traditional Battle Royale if it doesn’t “take off” #BATTLEFIELD2042″
It has already been confirmed from DICE that the game will feature a mode called Hazard Zone however there weren’t too many further details to give us some insight into exactly what the mode will include.

If this rumour proves to be correct, could it be that Hazard Mode is simply a back up Battle Royale?
Henderson also previously revealed that the title would feature a sandbox mode named ‘BattleHub’ which will be the “ultimate sandbox experience”. Although the official website does mention that a brand new mode will be coming, it doesn’t give any further details on what it may be.
