It has been a long three years since Starfield was announced and only now have we finally received a trailer for the upcoming title. The trailer was revealed as this years E3 event and gave fans a pretty good look at how ships will work in the game.
Starfield’s trailer was filled to the brim with hints and teasers of whats to come in the long awaited title, especially on how the ships will work.
Eagled eyed fans were quick to notice the in-game mechanics detailed in the trailer such as the blurry camera footage at the opening of the trailer. This portion of the trailer was marked with ‘alpha in-game footage’ which could suggest that this is what players will see when looking through the camera on board their ship.
We were also able to see some deeper details into the way the ships will work too, we got a closer look at the control panel on board the ship.
On the control panel, ‘WPNS’ can be seen which displays the stats for players as they use their weapons, below this there is also a ‘CRIT’ level which could suggest an indicator for the ships destruction level.
A ‘brake’ and ‘boost’ setting can be seen also, along with a radar which could be used to track ships while playing.
In the bottom right of the screen a ‘re-entry config’ setting can be seen which suggests it could be a task for players to land the ship, there are also a selection of meters visible too such as Co2, oxygen and gravity levels.
Of course, there are always the chance that some of these details could be for aesthetic purposes however it does give us a good indication of what we can expect to see from the title when it is released next year.
