However, it can’t help but be noted just how many new and upcoming titles are drawing inspiration from the fan-favourite series, such as new and upcoming title ‘The Anacrusis’ which has taken on a similar gameplay system to Left 4 Dead.

Fans were also left thinking that Rainbow Six Extraction would follow in Left 4 Dead’s footsteps with a similar shooter type set up.

Although none of these quite meet the Left 4 Dead mark exactly, fans will just have to hang on and see if another instalment in the franchise will come into fruition.
Fans have been hoping that Turtle Rock’s Back 4 Blood may step up to the plate although many players are still living in hope for a genuine sequel.
