Vertigo Games are back with another dev diary giving fans insight into gameplay of the upcoming zombie shooter VR title.
Upcoming VR title After the Fall is due to launch this summer across all major VR headsets and now Vertigo Games are back with yet another developer diary from the Upload VR showcase.
In this instalment the team are talking about the cross-play features within the game, they also highlight the titles replay-ability along with plenty of gameplay footage.
The studio explain in the diary that the game works by offering players a different experience every time they play, fans could stumble across unexpected areas in the game which can chop and change every time it is played.
Vertigo want to keep players engaged and enjoying the fresh gameplay each and every time, players can also get a slice of the action with the titles four player co-op sessions.
The team also go into detail while discussing cross-play which means the title has the capacity to run across high end PC’s and Oculus Quest devices simultaneously.
Of course visuals will differ slightly depending on the platform it is being played on, however the enemy count will remain the same within all versions of the game.
After the Fall will take players on a journey through the apocalypse into a frozen wasteland on the hunt for supplies while having to battle zombie snowbreeds. The studio has described the snowbreeds that have been mutated:
“The Eater is an enormous, revolting Snowbreed type that will annihilate everything in its path if it explodes. Your best chance against this terrifying creature is to keep your distance and have a precise aim whenever he’s getting too close”
“The Juggernaut is different from the regular Snowbreed. This hulking slab of undead muscle only has one goal: to grab and pummel you into dust. Getting hit by him is a 1-hit KO, so listen to your team and keep an eye “
“The Smasher is large and highly aggressive. When these guys show up, you’d better steer clear and really work together to take them out. As you progress, you’ll encounter more versions of the Smasher, but that’s all I can say for now!”
Players who are eager to get their hands on the title don’t have too much longer to wait as After the Fall we launch this summer on Oculus Quest, PSVR and PC VR headsets.
