Rumours have suggested that the upcoming Battlefield 6’s skill-based matchmaking system will be extremely different to what players have seen in other titles such as Call of Duty.
Skill-based matchmaking has always been a controversial topic in the gaming community and it seems that Battlefield 6 may be shaking things up with an entirely new system.
The information came from well known leaker Tom Henderson, which gives fans a reason to have faith in the rumour considering Henderson’s accuracy in the past. The overall idea of SBMM is that players are paired with other players of a a similar skill, however some players have concerns that this is a ranked mode and should remain in ranked.

A recent rumour has revealed that SBMM will feature in the upcoming Battlefield 6 title however will be taking an extremely different approach to other popular multiplayer titles.
According to the leak, Battlefield 6’s SBMM will allegedly be team-based meaning that when players load into the game, where they find themselves placed will be decided by the rest of the teams K/D ratio.

This means that if there is a team that is made up of players will a low K/D ratio, they are expected to get a player of a higher skill added to the team to balance out the overall skill set of the team.
Although, fans should take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing has been official confirmed yet in regards to skill-based matchmaking.
The game is yet to be official revealed but fans can expect to see a trailer released for the title in June, so there isn’t much longer to wait to see what is in store for the upcoming title.
