The newsletter starts off by telling fans that the new Battlefield title will simply just be called ‘BATTLEFIELD’ rather than Battlefield 6 as we keep seeing, it also notes that the title will be set in the future but only by around 10 years or so.
It claims that its near future setting will give developers a chance to use weapons that are currently being tried by todays military.
It also details information on the much anticipated trailer “I can also confirm that it would appear that the reveal trailer for BATTLEFIELD will not feature any gameplay, nor multiplayer, and will be somewhat similar to the beginning of the Battlefield V reveal trailer, which is something I’m sure we’ll all be a little upset about.”

He also went on to say “Multiplayer will feature bigger and better battles and is described as “Battlefield 3/4 on steroids”, with a Battle Royale also on the way at some stage. The Battle Royale experience will be completely disconnected from the Firestorm name and instead will adopt a new name, probably for obvious reasons. Players will still be able to play as the 4 different types of soldiers, but instead of just having unique gadgets, players will also have different “abilities”, which are similar to Call of Duty perks. “
Henderson also goes on to say that the game will feature drones, helicopters, tanks, robots and jets. Helicopters, tanks and such like are a staple in any Battlefield title, however the inclusion of robots and drones could mix things up and create some very compelling gameplay.

In a separate Tweet Henderson went on to say that a few things had been missed out from the initial newsletter such as the fact that ‘BATTLEFIELD’ is a sequel to Battlefield 4.
The Tweet read “2 details that was missed from yesterday’s newsletter: – BATTLEFIELD is a sequel to Battlefield 4 – Your specialist unit consists of soldiers from the other fallen superpowers that are not USA/Russia.”

Of course, with nothing officially confirmed we must take this information with a pinch of salt, however hopefully it shouldn’t be too much longer until we see a trailer revealed. A trailer is rumoured to appear around May, however is said that it will not feature any actual gameplay.
