Remedy Entertainment have been building a connected universe with Control, it has even been noted that they are bringing back some popular elements from older games such as Alan Wake.
According to an industry insider there could be a Alan Wake 2 in the works, it had already been confirmed that a new title was on the way, however it was revealed that it would be called ‘The Remedy Connected Universe’ but a recent leak has lead us to believe otherwise.

The news came to light when Jeff Grub said live in a Twitch stream that Remedy would be making an Alan Wake 2.
He said “I heard that Remedy is going to make Alan Wake 2 with Epic” he went on to say “it should be the follow-up that fans of that series want”.

He has also mentioned that there was rumours over a bidding war to see who would actually work on this with Remedy, however it seems that Epic Games are currently on top.
He also noted that he wasn’t sure just when we could expect to see this announcement, hopefully it is sooner rather than later.

Of course, with any leak we have to take this information with a pinch of salt, although it makes sense that a project like this could be in the works.
