Call of Duty’s ‘worst map ever’ is officially getting a makeover, and Treyarch gave us a look at what changes we can expect to see.
The map has been reinvented and looks better than ever, Treyarch took to Twitter to reveal the new ‘Miami Strike’ map which will launch next week.
The Tweet read “Sun’s up, guns up. Miami Strike comes to 6v6 next week with a new close-quarters layout and 24/7 playlist.”

It will launch in multiplayer with a brand new 6v6 close quarters layout, it a also set to feature in a 24/7 playlist.
The most notable change in this upcoming map is the fact that it is set in daytime, which is a welcome change as the previous Miami map was set at night time. The night time setting was one of the previous causes of complaints as players suffered with poor visibility due to the dark setting.
We can also see from the tweet that the new map will be significantly smaller than the original Miami map, this is to cut down on all of the wasted space in the larger version, a map that was too big for 6v6 game modes.
Miami Strike will be arriving as part of the mid-season two update for Cold War. We will also see the return of Prop Hunt, with Miami Strike and Satellite being added to Prop Hunts map rotation, along with a load of new props.
