Grand Theft Auto RP streamer Whippy has changed his life forever thanks to a ride in viewership which allowed him the freedom to move out of a literal shed and into a house of his own.
The streamer has been playing alongside some massive Twitch streamers like xQc, and even seen his stream raided by Sykunno. This caused his viewership to double as fans tune in to see what his character Dundee is up to.
Whippy has been a dedicated player of GTA since he launched his channel back in 2016 and has racked up an impressive 5,300 hours streaming. However, with the NoPixel popularity Whippy has seen his viewership soar to figure more than double his average.
Fortunately for Whippy, while he was in the process of being raided by Sykkuno he explained to fans how the sudden surge in popularity for this channel has dramatically helped his fortunes.
He told fans “So long story short, chat, I live in a shed because my mum is in debt […] she got kinda screwed over by my dad, who got a loan out on a house and then moved out of the house, put the loan on her and is no longer making payments.”
He also went on to say “She can’t afford the house so I have to help her. Without me, she goes homeless, so even when I move out I have to pay two rents. So essentially, I have to have a lot of cash flow for me to move out, and to do my streaming gig I have to live in a shed with a tin roof. So, with all the support recently, I’ve actually been able to afford to pay mum’s rent, and move out.”
This incredible story just goes to show how streaming can drastically change someones life for the better, often big streamers build up hype on certain games too which helps small streamers discover hidden talents.
We are keep our fingers crossed for Whippy that his success continues to grow and his channel goes from strength to strength, he is certainly on the right track to becoming one of the biggest streamers of this year.
