According to Ubisoft, the launch for Assassins Creed: Valhalla was the biggest that we have ever seen in Assassin’s Creed history.

During a recent company earnings call it was revealed that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has became the biggest game in the franchises history, Valhalla has seen more success than any other title in the AC series.
Valhalla owes it success to its classic RPG experience and a change in its mechanics which has lured more players into the game, this boost in players has seen the game rise massively in sales. DLC sales have also seen a huge rise according to Ubisoft as there seems to be a huge amount of players engaging in microtransactions and digital add ons.

However, this has caused issues for some players as complaints began to gather surround the amount of microtransactions taking place, although this hasn’t actually seemed to affect the games overall sales.

They also discussed the progression of other games such as Watchdogs: Legion and Immortals: Fenyx Rising. IT seems that Immortals in the publishers seventh best selling game, while Watchdogs sits in fourth place. Just Dance was also brought to the table with a set of impressive figures, following the games 2021 release it continues to go strong.
It has not taken long for speculation to circulate about a new Assassin’s Creed release, with rumours already spreading thick and fast we will keep our fingers crossed that it’s an even bigger hit than its predecessor. Ubisoft also seem to have a lot going on in terms of future plans, with a the Prince of Persia remake in the works and a new Star Wars game in the pipeline, exciting things are sure to be headed our way.
