Rust beats Amazon at their own game by introducing delivery drones to the game.
The survival game is getting drones in the next patch on February 4th. The producer for the game Alistair McFarlane posted a short video to Twitter showing the drones working. They are deployed from a drone station and will fly to a nearby vending machine to pick up purchases. “The terminals will only be accessible within safezone(s) – can not be player crafted,”
Vending machines in Rust allow players to sell items with whatever they stock inside, its a safe way to trade items in a game where most players will kill you on sight. This new mechanic will allow you to gather the supplies from inside a safe zone before heading out into the world.

Rust is one of the most popular survival games out at the moment, and gets monthly updates almost seven years after release, and it’s not just bug fixes. Most updates come with big changes like an entire farming update, or the addition of modular cars. You can check out the changelog here.
